EDIT* This adaptation was created so that we could operate during covid restrictions. We have now reverted to normal so you can book a bed a room or the whole hostel but not a wing.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes with local tradesmen to create two new self-contained ‘wings’ within Ninebanks so that families and groups can stay with us safely, without contact with other groups.
What does this mean for families and groups? We can now safely accommodate groups of six (in line with ‘Rule of Six’ restrictions) as well as provide ample space for different households to enjoy Ninebanks without ever sharing the same space. This allows everyone to stay within their own household bubbles.
WHAT ARE THE NEW WINGS?
Orchard House is now a one bedroom self-contained unit that sleeps up to four people (in bunk beds) with its own ensuite or private shower room and sitting room/dining room. Complete with log burner and kitchenette, it’s a perfectly cosy, covid-secure self contained unit for 4.
Mineshop is our second ‘wing’ which features two bedrooms (one double and four bunk beds), that can sleep up to six people, an ensuite or private shower room and a sitting room/dining room. Mineshop also now has its own kitchenette and private patio with chiminea so families or groups can enjoy the hostel and feel safe in their own space.
Does this mean we can’t hire the whole hostel anymore? No. The beauty of our new wings means we can segment the hostel safely during tiered restrictions, and open it back up to larger groups when restrictions allow.
